When you keep your digital items — especially your cameras and computer — organized, you’ll feel less stress and far more productive. If you keep looking at a bunch of cords and supplies hanging out of drawers, or under your desk, how can you keep your stress level down and your productivity up? Here are some very helpful tricks and tips that can help keep your organized.
Camera
Make sure that your camera bag has enough compartments and pockets to hold all of your camera’s accessories. You may even need a bag that can hold multiple cameras, depending on your needs.
Match the slots with the size of the accessory. This is especially important with lenses, as you want the proper fit so as to ensure that they don’t get damaged. Try to place lens filters close to your lenses for easy access.
Make sure you charger and spare batteries are located in a convenient place for quick and easy access, and the same advice applies to memory cards.
Computer
Coil smaller cords that belong to accessories into plastic containers with labels. This will eliminate the need to go through piles of unidentified cords, just to plug in the camera.
If your computer desk doesn’t already have a cable hole, drill one. Try to put all of the cables and cords through this central place so they aren’t scattered all over the place. Place your power strip out of sight.
Use a decorative box that matches your office décor to store all your computer accessory. Use rolling carts or cabinets to store accessories and other items to keep your desk free of clutter.
